七版 cover letter 实测：换高级词没用，打乱句长才像人

你的 cover letter 之所以像在求，不是词不够大，是每一句都是同一个长度、同一个音量。我们测了七版，高级词汇那版还是 1.0，句长打乱那版掉到 0.22。

我们做了一组对照实验：七版研究生 cover letter，两个独立 AI 检测器打分，越低越像人。baseline 一版通用兴奋体，直接给 1.0 和 0.9999。纯机器。然后我们做了句长打乱——四词短句接四词长句——detector A 直接掉到 0.2166。不是 0.8，不是 0.5。0.2166。换高级词那版呢？0.999。0.9999。纹丝不动。你的 letter 不是在求，是同一个音量喊了六百词。

最扎心的一条：我们加了过渡词——furthermore、moreover、in addition、additionally。每个写作博客都让你这么干。结果 detector A：1.0。Detector B：0.9999。跟 baseline 一模一样。然后换 thesaurus 高级词，utilize、leverage、facilitate、sophisticated。Detector A：0.999。Detector B：0.9999。你换了十二个大词，分数一个 decimal 都没动。❌ 'I am eager to leverage my interdisciplinary background to facilitate meaningful contributions to your program's research initiatives.' ✅ 'I spent two years in a neuroscience lab and one in a design studio. I want to work where those two rooms overlap.' 问题从来不是词。是你在表演。

真正炸到我们的数字：句长打乱把 detector A 从 1.0 拉到 0.2166，降了将近 0.78。整个实验里最猛的杠杆。但 detector B 只动了一点点：0.9809。为什么两个检测器反应不一样？因为一个看句法变化，另一个看话题可预测性。你句子长短混了，听起来像人在说话。但内容还是四段兴奋体，detector B 照样觉得你在念稿。句长是第一步，不是全部。

这条最疼。我们加了一句第一人称具体细节：'I volunteered at a homeless shelter in Chicago during the winter of 2023, and the kitchen was the only warm room in the building.' Detector A：0.9729。Detector B：0.9393。几乎没动。一个故事是装饰，它坐在同样的平节奏句子里，检测器看穿了。你可以有最好的故事，听起来还是在给 committee 表演。修法不是'加一个个人细节'。修法是：让那个细节打断你的句长。让它插进来。下一句三个字。'It was cold.' 句号。然后继续。这是人记得一件事时的状态。你的 letter 不是。

真正有用的组合是两个叠加。deliberate imperfection——fragment、一个 well、一个以 lowercase 延续的断句：detector A 0.4774，detector B 0.9819。short-long 节奏 beat：detector A 0.5522，detector B 0.945。单用哪个都到不了 0.5 以下。叠一起，开始像人。❌ 'I am passionate about interdisciplinary research and believe your program offers the ideal environment for my academic and professional development.' ✅ 'I keep a notebook of questions that do not belong to any single department. Your lab and the design institute sit in the same building. That is not a coincidence I am going to pretend I did not notice.' 第二句有短句。有一个具体的、有点小气的细节。听起来像一个真的走过 campus 的人。改到这一步，easydue 能帮你找到节奏断掉的地方——不是帮你重写，是告诉你哪三句 30 词叠在一起，整段变成一个长呼气。你说什么还是你自己定。

committee 不要 fan。要一个能坐进 400 人 lecture hall 不腿软的人。你的 cover letter 不是给 department 的情书。是证明你能用英文思考而不被自己的句子吓到。写的时候想象你在跟朋友讲为什么选这个 program 而不是 list 上另外三个。如果你做不到不念稿就说完，你还没准备好写。detector 还是 0.99？别慌。再写一版。把一句拆成两半。加一个三词句。别演了。你不是在过机器。你是在给一个午饭前要看四百份 letter 的人，别让他觉得你在求他。
