Cover letter 写实习经历，90% 的人第一句就废了

Cover letter 里描述实习项目，90% 的人写的是"职责"不是"故事"——HR 扫一眼就划走，因为你给的信息量和"我在网上随便搜到的 JD"一模一样。

第一句就废了。你 cover letter 写什么？「During my internship at XX Corp, I was responsible for data analysis and report generation.」这句话的信息量，等于零。HR 看到 responsible for 就知道你要么是抄的 JD，要么是不知道怎么写所以用了一个万能动词。你的实习项目描述，从第一个词就开始自杀。

问题不是你写得少，是你写的是"职责"不是"事件"。中文简历教你的那套——"负责"协助参与在英文 cover letter 里全是废话。英文 cover letter 的逻辑完全不同：它要看到的是一个具体时刻。你面对什么问题、你做了什么决策、结果发生了什么变化。没有这三层，你的描述就是 JD 的复读机。

来看三组对比。❌「Responsible for managing social media content and analyzing engagement metrics.」→ ✅「Wrote a prompt library for our social media intern to generate first-draft captions; cut their content turnaround from 2 days to 6 hours per post.」你看，第一个是岗位说明书，第二个是一个你做了、别人没做、而且改变了什么的具体动作。这就是"具体"的意思。

❌「Assisted the product team in improving user onboarding experience.」→ ✅「Noticed 40% of new users dropped off at step 3 of our signup flow, then rewrote the copy and shortened the form from 7 fields to 4 — drop-off dropped to 12% in the next sprint.」具体不是堆形容词。具体是：数字、动作、因果链。你不需要写得漂亮，你需要写得像一个人真的干过这事。

❌「Gained hands-on experience in cross-functional collaboration and project management.」→ ✅「Coordinated between our legal and engineering teams to ship a GDPR-compliant data deletion tool in six weeks — I built the project timeline after learning the legal review alone could take 8 weeks if we sequenced things wrong.」第三组最毒，因为"cross-functional collaboration"这个词在 2026 年的 cover letter 里等于自我暴露：你啥也没干，只是在凑字数。

那如果你做的事情真的很琐碎呢？你就是在帮忙整理数据、做 PPT、跑脚本——你觉得自己没东西可写？那就写"你从琐碎里发现了什么"。哪怕你只是跑了一个 SQL query，你也可以写："我跑出来的那个异常值让我发现我们的客户流失集中在某个 region，我主动标出来，后来 PM 据此排优先级。"——这就是一个故事。琐碎不是原罪，抽象才是。

实操建议：写完每一段实习描述，用一句话检验——"我能拿这段话跟室友 explain 吗？如果我室友听完会说'然后呢？'，那这段就是废话。"写完初稿，直接丢 easydue 过一遍自然度，把语法和表达顺一下，省下的时间全用来打磨那个"然后呢"的故事线。Cover letter 不是简历的 prose 版。它是一封只写一个高光的信。你把一个故事写好，比列十个职责强一百倍。
