I am writing to formally bring to your attention,用了I would like to report that——这些词一出来,导师的心理预设就被你锁死了:这是一次正式举报,我需要按流程处理。

看这个开头:❌ Dear Professor, I would like to formally report a possible case of academic misconduct regarding a classmate's recent submission. I believe there is evidence of plagiarism and I respectfully request that you investigate this matter. 对比:✅ Hi Dr. Chen, I noticed something while reviewing the group submissions for Assignment 4 and wanted to flag it before filing a formal report.

❌ It is clearly evident that the second paragraph was copied directly from another student's work. ✅ The phrasing in paragraph two is nearly identical to a passage marked up in the peer-review session on March 3 — I'm not sure what's going on, but I wanted to mention it before it escalated.

I just wanted to bring to your attentionnot sure if this is relevant

please ignore if notsorry to bother you. I'd appreciate your guidance on whether this warrants a follow-up or if it's something I'm overreading. Happy to share the specific passages if that's helpful. 这句话的结构是:给出你的判断(warrants a follow-up),但把决定权交给对方(if it's something I'm overreading)。
