The results indicate a significant improvement in student performance, which suggests that the new curriculum is effective. The results show a clear jump in performance. This suggests the new curriculum works—or at least, it works better than the old one. 注意那个破折号和“or at least”。
If, However, Moreover, Consequently—这些词在 AI 文本里出现得过于规律,像红绿灯一样准时。Human writers don't use transition words like a checklist. We jump. We assume the reader can follow a logical leap. If every paragraph starts with a connector, you sound like a list, not an argument. Delete half your “Moreovers.” Let the logic breathe. If the reader gets confused, fix the logic, not the transition word.
Furthermore, the methodology employed rigorous sampling techniques to ensure validity. The sampling was tight. We didn’t leave much room for error, and that mattered. “Tight” and “didn’t leave much room” are messy, real words. “Employed rigorous sampling techniques” is a resume bullet point, not a sentence. If you’re writing for a journal, you can be formal, but you can’t be robotic. Formality is tone, not vocabulary inflation.
Here’s the trick: write it, then read it aloud. If you stumble, or if you feel like you’re reciting a script, it’s too AI. I use easydue to break that rhythm. I paste my draft in, and I don’t ask for “better words.” I ask it to vary sentence length and inject a bit of friction. It takes the polish off. The result isn’t “perfect,” but it’s yours. And that’s the only thing that matters when you’re trying to survive a crit section.
Stop trying to sound like a textbook. Textbooks are boring. Professors read a hundred of them a year. They want to hear a voice. Even if that voice is shaky, even if it’s a bit raw. A shaky human voice beats a smooth robotic one every single time. Your goal isn’t to pass a detector; it’s to sound like a person who actually thought about this. That’s the only authenticity that doesn’t need a disclaimer.
