Results sections often become cluttered by complex sentence structures. The key is distinguishing core findings from supporting details: report only values used in calculations or comparisons, such as means, standard deviations, and p-values. Split long sentences into two shorter ones—state the result first, then mention the method. For example, use 'Experimental group scores were significantly higher than control (M=85.2, SD=4.1; p<0.05)' instead of lengthy constructions that dilute the data relationship.

Avoid stacking statistical symbols; prioritize active voice when describing data processing. Change passive structures like 'The data were analyzed using ANOVA' to 'We applied one-way ANOVA to compare three groups' for tighter phrasing. When retaining technical details, use parentheses rather than inserting clauses into main sentences. Specify test types in methods sections and reserve results sections for numeric interpretation.

Adopt standardized templates to reduce repetition. Use frameworks like 'Mean values of [variable] showed a significant difference between [Group1] and [Group2] (t=[value], p<[threshold])', replacing bracketed content as needed. For non-significant outcomes, apply uniform phrasing such as 'There was no statistically significant effect of [factor] on [dependent variable]' to maintain consistency across paragraphs.

When handling multivariate data, employ semicolons or lists for parallel structures. Example: 'Factor A increased response rates (p=0.03), while Factor B had minimal impact (p=0.42)'. Ensure every statistical claim is followed by actual numerical ranges rather than vague descriptors like 'significant improvement'—replace them with quantifiable statements such as 'increased by 15%' for precision.

During final checks, verify all cited numbers against original datasets. Remove redundant adverbs like 'very significantly' or 'slightly but noticeably'. If using an AI tool to draft initial versions, adjust outputs into clear sentence templates through two manual revisions: first preserving statistical accuracy, second simplifying syntax structure for readability without sacrificing academic rigor.
